HI my name is Carolyn and I have a misprint nickel and I dont' know the date because where it is misprinted at is where the date is suppose to be. So can anyone tell me who I can get ahold of about this coin. Please contact me as soon as possible. Thanks.

Welcome to CCF. We will need a picture or a better typed description to help you with this. Most times people will answer you through this forum so that others can learn from your discovery too.
Would you say you have a gouge or blob in the area of the date? If you cannot show an image, your answer will most likely be a best guess on what you describe.

My bet is you have a dateless Buffalo nickel. The date would be on the raised base under the Indian. It could be a misprint, but most likely the date wore off that high point of the coin. No real collector value.

With that very brief description and the fact that the type of nickel was not mentioned the short list of possibilities are Grease Filled Die, die break ( Cud), off center strike, date worn off (buffalo), or just post mint damage. Without pictures it is impossible to know which it is.
