I've only ever bought a couple of things off Teletrade and they were cheaper items. This is the first gold I have bought online. Do you think I paid to much? Be honest. If I overpaid, I want to know for the future: http://www.teletrade.com/coins/lot....033&lot=2302Thanks

Asking that sort of depends on if you plan on reselling that coin or bought if for yourself. By that I mean whatever you pay for a coin makes little difference if you like it, want it, need it and plan on keeping it for yourself. Then cost is not that important. What is, is are you happy with it? I think the price is OK though. Others may not agree.

You paid bluesheet MS62 bid. You did alright. The only problem is, Teletrade and Heritage charge a buyers fee. For that matter, I have only bought from Heritage once and that was my avatar coin. justcarl brings up a good point. The bottom line is that you are happy with it. Looks nice

I guess I should have mentioned the fees and shipping as well. $528.50 is what I paid after all is said and done. I always try to consider anything I collect an investment but I do not own any gold. Well, not before today. I just really like the design and would like to buy a few just to have something else to look at. I mainly collect Lincolns but I have some silver commems and currency as well. I love history and this is all a part of that.

I love that design, one of my favorites... With the fees you might have paid a little bit much, but how can you really put a price on a coin that you really enjoy?

If gold continues to climb as the dollar dives, you'll be even happier with your purchase. At this grade, I believe that bullion value trumps condition. IMHO, if you plan to buy more slabbed gold coins, you really should check out some coin shows. If you do, take this coin along for comparison. Enjoy!

The 2 1/2 Indians have been dropping in price lately. Why? I do not know. Makes no sense to me. You're right in the ballpark though for price. I think your coin is valued at about $425.00 for that grade. It sure is a beauty! I like it alot. But, if you like, you did good.

I think you just answered your own question. Again, forget the price and forget the postage, handling, etc. It is YOURS and you sound like you really like that so what is price compared to happyness.

You did right... hitting the target. As I have been mentioning in other post before, by buying Gold coin, you do not just wait for the prices of gold to sore-up, but you are also waiting for the rise in demand made by newcomers in numismatics (new set of generations) thus hitting two birds in one stone. We all know that the number of pcs in these old gold coins remains constant thus the law of supply and demand is definitely applicable on this issue. Not to mention the opportune time of owning such a nice Mint State gold coin is really what happiness in numismatics is all about, like my avatar by which I am always proud to have

Looks nice.
You did fine if you are happy with the coin. That is all that matters.

You didn't do too bad. Most MS62's are selling in the $460-$500 range. These Indian Quarter and half eagles are a lot of fun to own. It really isn't a bad price if you enjoy it. Beautful coin! Also, hello all. This is a great forum.

I love the $2.5 and $5 incuse indians because they are the only incuse design the US has ever made and that makes their appearance unique and very pleasing to look at. The incuse design makes them very hard to grade because they do not wear like any other coins but I think those coins in the 7070 album run a close second to any other design included in there (only second to the classic head Large Cent and I think the only reason I like them so much is because it was the hardest coin to find in problem free condition)

The 2 1/2 Indian was my first gold coin buy also. Got a strong AU coin for right around $300. Love the incuse design.
