When I'm roll searching and I come across a 1983 P LMC I get a little excited by the prospect finding another DD. The 2000 P LMC has a similar affect on me because there's a chance, albeit a slight chance, of finding a doubled Lincoln Statue, or a WAM. So tell me, what coin do you get a little excited about when you pull it from a roll and think to yourself "this could be the one"?

Any wheat back reverse up. Any time I get a Wheat cent reverse up I set it on the table face down until I finish the roll just to make it last a little longer. Then I flip it always hopeing for one of the big ones. Not so far but still trying.

When I'm rollsearching quarters and cut the roll paper horizontal and look for the edges without copper. Sometimes they're Canadian quarters, really bursts the bubble.

I like opening a roll of pennies, and immediately seeing one that has a wide-ish rim, because I know it is going to be a wheat from the mid-1930s or earlier..

Just kidding....(although that IS true !) ... It would be, for me, seeing that "shine" or "gleam" of a Proof coin laying in the pile of freshly unwrapped rolls of coins ! And yeah, for me too, with the Wheat cent belly up ! And as well with the Silver showing ! There's also the thrill of seeing that ol' Buffalo nickel laying in the pile too ! That really excites me ! (esp. when it's a "date-readable") And that generally unmistakable fudgy gucky color of a Silver War Nickel gets me everytime too ! Even seeing a new ATB Qtr shining from a roll makes me quite happy ! And actually, ANYTHING in BU from roll searching gets a small rise out of me as well ! Basically....... A LOT OF DIFFERENT THINGS "GET MY HEART TO RACE" ! I guess that's why I like roll searching so much !

When my in-laws return from a Florida vacation every year, they bring me back U.S. rolls to be searched. As soon as I here "we're back",I can't wait to open them. That's when the old heart starts to race and I wonder "What surprise(s) will I find this time!" All the best to you roll searchers out there!

I always leave my "heart racer" finds face down until my last roll is open. 1. I flipped over many many "1943" and "D" War Nickels before I got those two to match up on the same coin. 2. Wheat cents are fun to find face down. I always look for "VDB" but it's never there. 3. Any Jefferson with a D on the back hoping to see 1950 on the front even though I already know it's a 1964. 4. Bicentennial half dollars. lol

I'm going to have to give that roll hunting thing a try, but for now any non-modern raw silver or gold coin without bag marks and not cleaned.

Seeing the reverse of a very nice nickel or dime, or the obverse of a post 1998 Quarter, thinking I have finally found a 2011 coin in change, only to discover a well preserved late 1990's or early 2000's date. Not that finding them is all that bad, but still not what I was hoping.

1. Any 1913 Liberty Head Nickels since I need one to complete my collection 2. Any 1894S Liberty Head Dime for the same reason. 3. All or any Lincoln Cents such as the 1974 Aluminum or the 1959 Wheat back. 4. All 1943 Lincoln Cents plated with Chrome, Tin, Zinc but mostly Copper. 5. Or just any coin needed to fill an Album.

Buying a bag of halves off of a coin counter and hearing silver jingle when carrying it to the car.
