What I can see looks like a plating issue between the columns.

Yeah between the columns is what I was wondering about. Is this considered an error or what?

If it is what I think, then I would consider it more of a damage issue. I've found at least a dozen or so that looked like this and tossed them all.But as I tell everyone,it's just my opinion and it is only one cent if you save it.
