1982-P Jefferson Strange Marks, Lathe Lines?

Hello I pulled this 1982p Nickel the other day and was wondering what the strange marks are in the fields. Are they lathe lines, or is it something resulting from a poor strike. A guess on the grade (and value if they are lathe lines) would be helpful to0.

Those are called die flow lines. They are actually wear/erosion of the die. This transfers on from coin to coin and only get worse with time. You can also note the die wear around the devices. The edge of these start to flow over the device removing the edge that was there when the die was new.

Ah thanks! I've seen it so many times on 1982p's I thought I might as well post an example to find out what it was.
