Since I just made Pillar I feel as though I need to give something away. There have been a few people on this forum who have given me stuff and it's only fair to return the favor. So tomorrow I'll be attending one of the local Whitman shows. There are about 400 or 500 tables, so I'll have a lot to choose from. Here's what you need to do: Guess the first coin that I purchase tomorrow! That's it! But it's not... You have to identify Type, Year, MM and grade. Now grade can be subjective I know - so I'm going to try my best to make sure the first coin I purchase is slabbed. 1 guess per person per day. Guesses start tomorrow at 0600 EST to give everyone a fair chance to read this first - Happy guessing! Oh - The prize... well you'll have to wait to hear that, but I'll list it when I get home tonight. You get to choose from: This bag of pennies are all from the teens, 20s and 30s. You wont get anything new than 1939. I don't know what's in it lol. I'm pretty sure that there are no key dates because I don't have any key dates in my collection (but I do have some semi key's). I have a hard time looking at dates on coins, so once I got one in my folder, I just tossed any of the others back into a bag. This was the same thing I did for a lot of my Jefferson nickels. So my honest guess is that you wont get rich off of these, but if you're just starting it could be a fun dig. Or a 1960-D Full Torch Roosie. I'll gladly take more detailed pictures if this is what you want Or lastly - a bullion ASE. It's got some really blotchy toning, which is why I'm going to call strictly bullion. We are going to the same show tomorrow in Baltimore ... and I do recall some friendly free MSFS Jefferson going your way from me. I have no clue how to answer this contest ... so instead I offer my best wishes for a great show experience tomorrow. David

How about I narrow it down a bit to help. Because it could be a ton of coins. Suggestions to help, but not totally give away? Because at this point, I honestly don't know what the coin is going to be.

Oh - not that I expect anyone to follow me around and know exactly what I'm collecting, but it will more than likely be something that I'm pursuing. So I'll do that. I'll post the types of coins it will be - do a little searching and the grades of each of those types should be pretty easy to guess at (just based on my history) Here's your hint: It will be either a Buffalo nickel, Jefferson nickel, or a Morgan dollar

I hope you had a fun day and good luck. Since Dion Warwick got kicked off the Celebrity Apprentice, and wasn't busy, I thought I'd call and ask her what you would find, ( Being she's psycho and all. ) She tells me you paused at a beautiful 1939 D MS64 PCGS TY 1 Jefferson, but went with it's mate, the 1939 S Jefferson MS65 TY1 PCGS nickel from the same table and dealer. I am also told that you almost bought a beautiful red and purple toned MS64 Indian Head cent for this exercise but passed because of that slightly higher price tag than you wanted to pay and the dealer would not budge. So you bought the 1939 S Jefferson MS65 TY1 PCGS nickelGood for you!
