Saw this seller's ad. I don't believe there exists such a VAM or designation for a "1880CC REV of 79". There is, however a 1880/79 CC REV of 78, VAM 4(over-date). And there was documentation supplied with the GSA coins that made reference to this "over-date". This seller is selling some other piece of paper, along with the 1880CC COA, and calling it documentation for a 1880CC REV of 79 GSA. Be careful!

Rather interesting. Yes, technically a misrepresentation, but one which has absolutely no bearing on the value of what's being sold, one way or the other. In fact, if anything it would reduce the value, given that the Rev '78 and 80/79 varieties are in greater demand.

What is being sold is a standard 1880 GSA Cert and the standard Cert that was included with th "mixed CC" dollar coins that didn't pass the inspection for being put in the standard black GSA Uncirculated slab. But nowhere is there any reference to a variety or "Rev of 79" designation. Weird sale

the card has no identifiable numbers to tell if it were an 1880 Rev (which would be the same as a 1879) or 1878 Rev so it actually shouldn't even be in the topic but I guess if that's how they want to list it they can but I wouldn't have put it in there

I think he would have a better chance selling them as generic CC Morgan cards anyways.
