Here's my latest purchase, an 1887 Snow 1 DDO Indian Head cent. I grade it as a very nice G6 or an average VG8. You can just seem some lettering in "liberty" sticking out.

Nice! It's my favorite DDO of the IHC series.
Sometimes, you can find these in dealer's bargain bins or even ebay.

I think my favorite DDO is the 1873 with the doubled liberty, but this is probably second. I'm getting much more into IHC varieties and plan on buying Rick Snow's Attribution guide. This is my first Doubled Die variety, the rest of my IHC are RPD and MPDs.

So true. I've seen low grade ones for more reasonable prices identified by the facial doubling, but what's the point?
