My understanding is that the 2011 cent intended for circulation is non-magnetic, and the penny in the Speciman set is magnetic. Am I correct? Thanks

I wouldn't proclaim it either way at this point, they have a habit of using whatever is available to produce the cent and the year isn't over.

It's quite possible they may mint them on pieces of Pringles (tm) at this rate.

Hmm Specimen sets are magnetic.Yet the uncirculated sets are zinc. What is the mint trying to do anyway?
