It's a beauty - I wouln't mind owning it myself. I thought those types of coins were mostly for bullion value? Maybe the proofs are treated differently?

most of the ASE are it just depends on what side of the fence your on I have 2 ms69 1996 ASE and there the lowest minted coin in the entire series 3,xxx,xxx as opposed to the 2011 33,xxx,xxx. And the proof coin in that picture is one of 747,831 for that year

These PCGS slabbed DCAM Eagles can sell for $20 or more over melt value.

That premium, however, is all in the holder. An NGC equivalent usually sells for melt.

That and they are very addicting I would LOVE to have a reverse proof but I dont have 300 dollars laying around lol..only complaint about the coin is a small sized milk spot on the reverse near the "a" in dollar, cant see it in the pic...but hey what can ya do I love it regardless
