I am new to the forum and really didn't know where to post this thread. Most of my coins in my collection have been passed down to me from my GreatGF to my grandfather and to me from my dad. They made 20 million of them so I guess its pretty common (at least in England). It is a large coin about the size of a silver dollar and a little bit thicker. They are also often thought of as "ugly coins" and I do kinda agree. They are not a patch on any of the earlier designs - though the fact that they were all in silver helps :) Your Australian florin is very nice...
