1549 Half Blanc for Besançon of Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor, 17mm.  This map shows the extent of the Habsburg Lands controlled by Charles V in 1547.  Besançon is near the center, in present day France.

Thanks mysilveryears. Recently we have been watching "The Tudors" series about the life of King Henry VIII of England. Henry alternately formed alliances with the King of France and Emperor Charles V. Charles was also the nephew of Henry's first wife, Queen Catherine of Aragon.
