coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 04/18/2011 12:13 am Mint marks were added to the dies until 1989. After 1990 the mint marks are part of the die's design. The mint marks were hand punched with different locations of the mint mark. This is just normal. So when you see mint marks in different locations, that means they came from from different dies.
