I have aquired a 100+ old Chinese coins over the weekend and was wondering what resources might be available online that could help me find out what they are, what year, value, ect. I know a few have Chinese script on one side and a 20 on the other. The rest just have chinese script with dragons, ext as the design. And yes I know picts will help and I will post them hopefully tonight. Thanks a bunch!

Yeah I will have to take picts, looks like a lot of different ones though. <ay have to go to a dealer in foreign coin and have them go through them perhaps.

Thanks Jeff 11 I'll bust out the camera and take some shots. They APPEAR to be about the same but it's kinda hard as I can't read Chinese, except for a few that have what appears to be an emperors face.I'll PM with picts thanks again!

lol I had forgoten( senior moment!) and posted another tread that has picts. Got a little info, some think some MAYBE fakes. Only way to know I guess is to take them to a dealer and have them looked at.

ah yes just found the thread. Sorry but it does look quite clear - very likely counterfeits I'm afraid. There are so many Chinese fakes out, probably the most commonly faked coins. You can chek the weights to be sure, though the Weight Tolerances are not often as strict on many of the provincal Chinese coins as you would find in other countries, indeed the actual silver content often varies, more than about a gram out is enough to confirm.
