I have a 2001 walking liberty silver dollar in which I'm pretty sure I have a good idea what the value is. However I have another silver dollar which has the statue of liberty in the middle (not walking actual Statue of Liberty) and on the back side theres no image but there is a border to it and it says (front)"Liberty-One Troy Ounce-.999 Fine Silver" and (Back)"One Ounce .999 Fine Silver" around the edge with a little design around the edge. I have not yet found a single place that shows this coin and I was hoping someone could shed some light for me.

Sounds like it's a generic silver round. I'll see what I can dig up.

to CCF! You've come to the right place!

You might have a 2001 American Silver Eagle ( ASE) but it sounds more like a one troy ounce silver bullion round. An ASE will have "ONE DOLLAR" on the reverse and if yours does not, it's not a coin but is a silver bullion piece.

The good news is that it's worth $43 these days due to skyrocketing silver prices!

Feel free to post a pic Brian. I moved this topic to the Precious Metals Forum. It sounds like a 1oz silver round made to look like a Walking Liberty half dollar.

The 2001 walking liberty dollar is the official government issue one ounce bullion coin which has a denomination of one dollar and is a non circulating coin. The other you have with the Statue of Liberty is called a one ounce round and is a private manufacture one once bullion piece. You won't find it listed in any price guide or reference book for U. S. coins. It would be listed in a reference book for silver bars and rounds. Its value is solely determined by the spot price of silver and typically would not have as much of a premium over spot as the American Silver Eagle might have.

Not sure what company makes what I call those "dinner plate designs" on back side, which are made for possible engravings. I have even seen that back design on a bar I have which has an American Indian chief on the front side. Kinda rare, but I have seen it on ebay before, here you go below....

ok well to start I'm only 19 years old. been "collecting" since I was 5. I just recently realised my "large" collection makes up of alot of more common coins (canadian, other various countries). But here is a list of the coins that I have that could even possibly be worth anything. Please let me know as far as what you know about them. Please and Thank you.

*1887 Indian Head One Cent Penny
*1900 Indian Head One Cent Penny
*1907 Indian Head One Cent Penny
*1943 Metal Looking Penny. Its not the traditional Penny Color
*1940 One Cent Abe Lincoln Penny but the penny itself looks very red. the whole thing.
*1936 Dime. On the back its a wood stick looking thing with a axe tip. and leaves behind the stick. On the front theres a mans head with wings on his head.
*1936 Buffalo nickel. With indian on front.

I am going to give you the year it was made for most of them as well as what the coin says in "". if you need a better description or a picture of specific ones I can.

*1951 Belgium 1Fr.
*1951 "Republik osterreich" 2 groschen (i believe its austrian)
*1923 20 Centavos "Republica De Chille"
*1944 Ceylon 5 Cents "George VI, King and Emperor of India" (coin is square)
*1959 Brittish Honduras 5 Cents "Queen Elizabeth The Second" (Coin has a red hue to it)
*1959 Brittish Caribbean Territories Eastern Group 25 Cents "Queen Elizabeth The Second"
*1949 Cyprus 1/2 Piastre "Georgivs Sextvs Dei Gratia Rex"
*1948 Patria Y Libertad 5G 900M "Republica De Cuba Veinte Centavos"
*The next Coin is from china. I cant read chinese but it is a ?bronze? Coin with markings on both sides and has a cut out square in the middle of the coin. most of the coins I have from this little bit was from 1940's 1950's so its probably around that era.

This isn't all of them but its some of the more noticable ones.

I also have Dollar bills as well if anyone knows about those as well.
*Japanese Government One Cent Bill
*1976 US 2 Dollar Bill
*1976 US 2 Dollar Bill yes I have 2 haha.
*1986 Canadian 5 Dollar Bill
*Bank Of England 10 Shillings Bill
*1967 Centennial Of Canadian Confederation 1 Dollar Bill
*2004 1000 Pesos Banco Central De Chile
