I recently acquired a PCGS XF45 1934-S Peace dollar. After looking at VAMworld, I think that it might be a VAM 3 Doubled rays; however, I am a complete novice to VAM's. I took some close up photos. What do you think?

Well, the VAM-3 Doubled Rays coin is a Denver issue, so your chances aren't good.

The doubling itself is unmistakable. You can see two complete sets of rays.

I'm looking at this page on VAMworld and it has a doubling for the 1934-S:

Ah! I see.

The 1934-D VAM-3 is easily the most famous doubled-rays variety, and having been posting from my cellphone the last time, I didn't look at VAMworld first; just assumed you'd gotten the date wrong.

Silly me.

This is a tough call due to wear on your coin; I think I see enough detail to agree with your attribution.
