*** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***You know whats sad I have not seen a quarter newer than 2008 yet. There must be alot of hoarders out there. I want to find the 2009 District of Columbia DDR but its not possible if I cant find one from that year in general. Does anybody else have this problem?

Not in my pocket change right now, but I have seen 2009 quarters in my change. There may be some 2009 in my rolled quarters at home. I have not see 2010 or 2011 in change that I recall.

I'm beginning to see a little more, still not as much as I'd like and definitely not in the condition I'd like either.

From what I can tell so far, the ATB Quarters are not holding up very well in circulation. Almost like our money is made in China, like everything else.

Who would hoard base metal quarters? Nickels make sense at current melt value, but not quarters.

Just the last couple weeks beginning to find 2010 ATB's in change. Two Hot Springs and a Mount Hood.

Our government in the process of attempting to reduce the cost of making coins has now outsourced all US coinage to China. And why not since they are already making so much of it anyway. I see no problem with any new quarters. I get all new ones in change all the time. I stopped collecting quarters with the last of the ones without State Stuff on the reverse. I did make one set of the State ones and then no more Quarters. Sort of like Sporting Cards, Beanie Babies, etc. just to many dumb backs on them. The Mint did start lots of new people collecting coins but I suspect lost the old ones. I've seen so many of the latest Quarters floating around by me and I really don't know anyone that collects them. Great for school kids though. A little education while spending money.

The 2009 and 2010 quarters were made in far lower mintages than the quarters preceding it, and the economy having tanked in 2008 also meant the quarters that had been hoarded before suddenly got released back into the banks. The oversupply and the bad economy is why the 2009-2010 quarters are uncommon in circulation. I have yet to meet a non-collector that knows anything about the ATB Quarters. The few that I received in change didn't hold up well and were pretty beat up and have that 'made in China' sickly look to them, maybe the nickel alloy has more impurities than before?

I have been holding them because they seem to be hard to come by just like the 2009 nickels and dimes I traded a 2009 P and D dime and 2 territory quarters for 2 Mercury dimes not too long ago don't tell me they have no value supply and demand

I'm not quite fond of the quarters myself, they just seem boring. No offense to those of you collect them. P.S. They should change the dime to something with a liberty on it again.

I haven't had any trouble finding any of the quarters since 2008. I'm not looking for them, but they are out there in non-overwhelming amounts.
