Hey guys, I am going through my collection, and trying to figure out vams on some of these old guys, and I am thinking that this should be an easy one to spot. Is this a VAM 6? Listed as very near date? The scan is a little crooked, but I'm thinking it is very close.
please let me know what you think.

As far as the date location I would agree, 6 is much closer than 5, and yours is closer than the sample 5 on VW.

VAM 12 is also a possibility, check if the 8's are doubled at the bottom and also the high S is a marker for the VAM 12. post a pic or close ups if you can...Gene

S looks high to me, but I'm not sure what a normal s looks like. I tried to compare, and it looks quite a bit higher than others. also, the 8s on my scan do looks doubled, but this could just be my scanner playing lighting tricks. But thanks for the heads up, I am now thinking that this is a VAM 12...

looks high to me also....Think VAM 7 is also a high 7 so you'll have to compare your coin if your 8's are doubled at the bottom its a VAM 12 check date placement also..
