So,
I bought a few "jumk" dimes today, and one apprears to have no reeding at all. It is not that worn overall, so I'm quite sure it just never got stamped to begin with.
Would this create much value over the simple silver value in the coin?
Thanks!

Have to see a pic. Might be a Dryer Coin.

Because the reeding is a part of the retaining collar, it is quite impossible to mint a dime in-collar and not mint the reeds. Pretty much all examples of dimes and quarters that do not exhibit reeding are victims of vending machines and not any kind of error.

hmm,
a little surprised, but thanks for the quick answer!
I'll try to get a decent pic this weekend that actually shows it, but it is quite even around the whole rim, shows no other strange wear or damage, and no signs of reeding at all.
Thanks!

Not sure about this particular coin but I have found
a few broad struck dimes with no reeding present at all.

That's because broadstruck indicates that the coin was minted without the collar. They will be larger than a normal dime because the collar was not there to keep the metal retained under force.

If the dime that is the subject of this thread is of normal size, then it is a normal dime with the reeding removed - usually because of slot or vending machines.
