I was just wondering. I've searched through 3 rolls in my life, and found a 1979-P wide rim/near date.. I think this coin carries a premium. How much? I don't know. So, I was wondering if anyone else searched them. Feel free to post your finds and what you've noticed, like Proof coins, dateless presidents, wear patterns, anything! Thanks for looking! I've ordered a couple of boxes from the local bank. I also found a 79-P Wide Rim, but didn't find what I was looking for - the Presentation Strike Sacagawea!

Yeah, I forgot about those... Those were on the 2000-P's, right?
Then again, I wouldn't know what to look for exactly...

yea theres not much to look for besides the pattern 2000p and the 1979 wide rim, though there is always the odd error, proof, or nifc to look for as well

There is also the experimental rinse 2001 Sac, and the blank planchets, and the famous mule from 2000 Sac. There's lot of edge error ones, and possibly other errors with presidential coins. So keep on lookin'!

On a recent bank run of mine, asking for old dollar coins and halves, I came across a bank that said they had SBA coins. I asked to buy them all, they raised an eyebrow at me and said they had 1000's. So I backed down to 300 coins, all I could afford at the time. In the lot I found some very nice BU coins with full talons I kept back and one Wide Rim/Near date coin in BU. I spent the rest of the coins during the coarse of the next week. I can't tell you how many times the young clerks went to managers claiming I was trying to pay for gas with fake money. The next pay day came around and back to that bank to buy more. Guess what, no coins at all. They swore they never had any SBA coins and that if they did the manager would keep them and not sell them. WOW, I suppose I got lucky to get what I got. The SBA doesn't have a lot going for it as a series. It was short lived, and nobody liked the coin known as "Carter's Quarter". I do like the coin, as I've always liked the design on the reverse, the obverse...eh. Why couldn't it have been a younger prettier Susan, that's what I never understood. After all, England had the old haggered woman on a coin thing covered already. Keep looking at those SBA's. And ignore my rambling. Cheers

You're rambling is very welcome here lol.. I forgot I might have found a doubled die reverse on a Jefferson-P.. I'll try to get a picture of it sometime.. I know it is doubling of some kind. Whether of die or of strike, I don't know..
