Theres pillars between every pillars. Is this a DDR or Double Struck?

Never mind about the extra stair its just a normal stair thats smaller than it should be. The pillars are more like a shadow between the pillars but some of the detail sticks out. Thats why I thought double struck but nothing else is doubled on the coin front or back. So what do you guys think this is then?

It is probably fading die scratches from a wire brush to remove a clash on the reverse. If it were double struck all the devices would be affected on the obverse and the reverse to some extent.

I think coop nailed it....I've seen quite a few with heavy scratches like that...the direction just happened to line up on this one

Yeah I could see it being faded die scratches. Still learning on the pillar dilemma. I've found a few over time that I could match with ones listed but new ones I got nothing to work with and play inkblot on them.
