I have heard of Machine Doubling, but not Machine Tripling. Check out the photo of the Jefferson's portrait and collar. Interesting that the writing shows no doubling. Thoughts?

I don't think it is common, but there are many coins with multiple strikes out there. Great find though!

Very odd... I would think IGWT, Liberty, and the date would be affected...

Cool find. It could be multiple strikes or a multiple strike and die bounce. It would be interesting to see first hand.
