It seems to be a China Yuan (Dollar) from 1927 (though it's not dated). My Krause indicates that in VG condition it's value is $15.
There is a variety without rosettes at 10 and 2 o'clock on the reverse that's rarer (dated 1912) but as this one is so worn there is really no way of telling.
It's probably worth the silver melt value.
