He/she made a mistake. Other than the War Nickels from 1942-1945 all the "nickel" 5-cent coins are copper-nickel alloy, with 75% copper and the balance nickel if memory serves. This 1867 example looks pretty nice; maybe I'll place a bid!

Whats up with the seven on it? Looks like it was punched over or double struck. Could be PMD, too I suppose...

The date does appear to be a repunched date. Repunched dates are not unusual on Shield nickels.
