I'm going through collections (other peoples) I bought a while ago (20+years ago) and I would appreciate opinions positive or negative. Thanks.

I really like that Seated dime. Id say XF45-AU50 with some nice toning.
I am no good with gold but I will venture a guess of high VF maybe?

I'd say strong AU-55 on the Dime. I love the toning!

Quarter Eagle VF-30.

I kind of like that dime myself, I posted a fishscale in the Canadian grading forum with a very similar style of toning on it today as well, a real beauty.

Rest in Peace

The Seated dime does not look to have any wear on the knees (they are struck this way) but the luster looks dull. Unc details. Looks VF/XF on the gold depending on the strike.

The lustre on the coins is always cut by the macro lens in my opinion, not sure why. It's definitely there and looks like mother of pearl cartwheel in hand. It almost reminds me of one of those 3D cards they used to make. Very rainbow like when dipped back and forth.

Is that 1891 dime a proof? I'd be looking into having that face cut repaired if it was mine.

Thankfully, I am assuming that the face cut doesn't look nearly as bad in hand.

I'm not a US collector, I can spot a Canadian specimen in a box of junk from a mile away but couldn't diagnose a US proof if you were threatening to beat me with a shovel.

Don't feel bad, even the experts disagree on some of the early proofs.
