It's not as easy finding pre-1853 dimes in acceptable condition, compared to later dates. The price was not a fabulous deal but you might have to wait quite awhile to locate a similar coin for less money. If you like the coin I'd say you did OK.
It would be fun to start a budget set of these (ie. all G4). That's what I'm doing with Barber dimes. Your challenges would be the early CC's, especially that 1874-CC, and coins like the 1860-O for example. Completing even a low grade set of these would take time and $.
I have a 1875 CC but its not too good, and yes I am very sattisfied with the purchase. Seems to me these dimes tend to get alot of wear on the edges and this one looks nice.
