I'd like to see a 2x2 I can print on, in sheets for the laser or inkjet printer. That way I could just prepare my sheet of 2x2's with easily legible professional looking notes and stick it in an album.
Barring that, I'd like some company to make label overlays for the different sizes so I could just stick it on the flip.
Or finally, at a least a skinny enough label I could print from a sheet and put on the bottom or top of a 2x2. Return address labels are just a bit too big, 2/3rds that size would be perfect.
My handwriting is poor and sloppy and so is my eyesight. Clear legible text goes a long way to offsetting the inability to find what I want when I want it. (This came up when I was trying to find a DD victoria cent I had stashed somewhere ... grrrr.)

Why not get full or half page gummed labels, print and cut to size?

I have one of those strip printers. I have an insert for black text on clear labels, black text on white labels, and red text on both labels. You can vary the text size and shape

The P touch label maker is handy. I use it to label 2x2s and blank page Danscos. Being able to change the font size and height is a useful feature. I have the P-1290, paid about $20 for it. Tape cassettes are $15-25 each depending on where you buy them. I highly recommend this label maker, you will find all sorts of uses for it around the house, not just for labeling coins. Makes 2x2 binders look neat, clean & organized.

I have a P-touch, It's great for labeling rolls. I just wish there were something exact that didn't require any cutting or messing around on my part. The less mess the better...
I'm sure this has been hashed out a million times... maybe I'm just venting.

I use an Avery label 2/3 x 1 3/4 (Avery # 8195). I then use the online template service on avery.com. I create the template so that the country and year are 'up' and the rest of the data is 'upside down. I then put it on the 2x2 and folder over making the backside 'right-side' up. This is what I get:

I saw a person use a stamp letter kit and print names on it that way.

I tell you what I had thought about before is having a rubber stamp custom made, one like what they use for mailrooms to stamp the mail as received on x date... If set up well, you could make it work for everything up to quarters. MAYBE even half dollars. you could fit the year, the denomination and the grade pretty easily... obviously certain things wouldn't fit, you couldn't note commemoratives or what have you, or State Quarters, etc... would be a basic system but I've been toying with this idea for a while and think I might do it yet.
