Ok...after going though a box of pennies..this is one of my coins that stood out. What do you think? There are a few things that I am not sure of....Could this be a DDO and a MD at the same time?

First pic...Left edge of 1 and 9
1982-DDO-Or-MD....

Left edge of T and Y (sorry about the contrast)
1982-DDO-Or-MD....

The "8" is really weird..the bottom inside part of the lower "circle actually is raised....what causes this?

The mark on the 8 looks like a contact impression that touch that area of the eight. Maybe a coin wrapper might have touched it?

The inside of the lower "8" is raised and almost goes completely around in a circle. I would find it hard to be contact damage (assuming I understand what you mean by "contact damage" PMD?)

Correct. Most of the time you think of PMD as deliberate, but it also covers circulation/wrapping along with abuse.

Are the lack of responses due to poor pictures? I tried twice to get better pics...for some reason I am having trouble with getting clear ones....I'll try again.

Yes, better pics would help for sure. My thoughts are MD but didn't really want to guess with these pics...so take it as just a best guess.

The lack of responses are because nobody gets paid to do this - be patient.

The thing around the 8 is actually a depression in the center of the digit's relief caused by a lack of zinc underneath it. It's rotting from the inside out.

The letters of LIBERTY are classic Machine Doubling.
