I voted winner. I think after time, these will go up in value.

How many coins are in this set? Are they proof? How much are they selling for? I love A.S.E. coins, so even without knowing anything about this set, I would imagine that they are winners!

I also agree that with time the value should increase. The set isn't even sold out and it is selling for $150.00 on ebay.

I vote winner because I personally think that they are cool. As far as a good investment, I couldn't say. I am usually wrong when I do.

I don't think of it as a winner, specially since the mintage is high. Having said that I hope it'll appreciate.

For those collectors who have sets of silver American Eagle coins, it will always be a necessity to have one of these sets. Without this set you will never be able to say you have a complete set of coins. So it's the uncirculated with the 'w' mint mark and the reverse proof that makes this a winner. It's not up to the level of the 1995w siver eagle, but it will never the less, be a good set to have.

I vote winner on this one. Only because of the reverse proof. There will be 250,000 of them, but although it's way more than the 10,000 gold reverse proofs, it's still a lot less than other ASE's. It's also the first reverse silver proof, so that may make if more special over time as well.

To me, a winner.
I hope to enjoy them for years, and then pass them on to the kids.
As far as value in the future is concerned, it doesn't matter to me. Probably, by the time it appreciates in value a great deal, I'll be nothing but a memory.

I see this morning that a set went on ebay for $228.49. I guess there is one born every minute.

Too many people have that '95 set in mind and are looking for a repeat for it to take off too much IMO. It will probably be hot for a while on ebay while the flavor of the month bunch go after it but I think in the long run it won't appreciate terribly much.

Hi SoHumble, WELCOME to the forum Thanks for posting that ebay listing yesterday...I just don't understand what motivates buyers at these prices I do understand the seller's motivation! Given that most of these sets will grade out at MS/PR 69-70, one could retire on a few hundred of them I'm still waiting for mine, purchased from the usmint at the bargain(?) price of $100.

One must keep in mind the 1995 Silver Eagle with the W mintmark was limited to the less than 31,000 sets made. Quanity (supply) and Demand says it ALL!!!
