Hi,

I'm unsure of this coin - It seems to be a 6 Pfennig from Waldeck - but the date looks like 1693 - and the closest coin I can find is a 1730-1755 type coin which really does look substantially different.

would anyone have any bright ideas?

thanks

I found the same on muenzauktion: Waldeck, Christian Ludwig, 6 pfennig 1693. Possibly for Pyrmont.

That's a great link - many thanks.
Judging from that asking price it seems to be a scarce coin.
