Two 1924-S Lincoln Cents With Matching Obverse Die Cracks

Check out these two coins...

There is no question they were struck with the same obverse die. Notice the crack just under LIBERTY and the radial crack extending from the rim through the mint mark. The cracks are an exact match.

The funny thing is I sold the darker coin several months ago. I just bought the lighter coin at my local coin store yesterday. I knew I had seen those cracks before so I had to dig up some old pictures to compare.

I thought it was pretty cool. Just thought I'd share.
