There are remnants of a die clash near the date and below LIBERTY, but I assume there must have been more to it than that for them to work the die over like this.

There's no treatments - lol! But, I do hear ya and I'm sorry about that.

Look how they polished away the bridge of his nose, too! Sometimes they just get crazy with the polishing. There have been a few good examples posted.

I have a '69-S where they completely polished Lincoln out of the Memorial on the reverse!

What year and mint is this Scooby? The heavy polishing reminds me of Merc dimes that are over polished.

That is cool! I recently found one where the image of Lincoln on the reverse is hardly visible, should I keep it?
