found it in a cash register the quarter to the right is the one I suspect, the one on the left is a normal quarter there is like a strange dent and Lincoln looks different  the backs are identical the front is a different story

Looks normal to me. Circulation wear. And, that is Washington...  ...dent is prob just post mint damage.

Well, the last S is smushed a bit, I can see it looking reversed at first glance.  Now, honestly a counterfeit '95 quarter? IF SO , don't report it, keep it. I'm joking a bit, but you don't have a counterfeit. I agree, not so much PMD, as some circulation wear and damage. Still a nice examination piece to help i.d. wear issues, and possible PMD issues.

I agree PMD on the ding. Washington looks different on the 95 because sometime between 81 and 95 the mint retooled/updated the master die. I do not know exactly when, it is common for the mint to periodically do this as the master dies lose their sharpness after making so many working dies. Kie

PMD, then environmental exposure, then back to circulation. That would account for the strange appearance.

The Washington quarter series had 9 different obverses and 4 reverses from 1965-1998. The left obverse was used 1977-1981 and the right obverse was used 1994-1998.
