There are good dealers on ebay...no doubt. I guess I would rather give my money to forum members or dealer/friends that I know. Just a personal preference. Call it a quirk of mine....lol

I swear! The seller had 2 complete SGS sets up yesterday on ebay. One on auction, the other as buy it now for $59.95 The description was very accurate. Both are missing now and rechecking some others, I recall my statement. They are a bit more pricey :) I think I walked by a deal :( The was your question, right?

Dude, it's an SGS set. They're probably not even satin coins.

Quote: The 2009 satin Lincolns are quite special and should probably be considered keys Sweet, they are the only satins I've bought. I've left them in the Mint packaging. I have some SnapTites that I could put them in, do you think I should? Or would AirTites be better?

I thought SGS stood for Super Great Slab.
While I heard they over graded I assumed they would still be at least 65's which was the "cost" point. Also I assumed they would not flat out lie about coin type.

NEVER trust ANYTHING in an SGS slab. It is NOT a legimate TPG. Just some guy in a basement. All of their coins are "70" in grade, in case you haven't noticed.

Do you think normal 2009 business strikes will ever increase in value, i.e. MS-65RD?

Not really, they were widely hoarded and tons of high grade, slabbed MS-67 up coins exist.

Thread resurrection! Can someone tell me how the 2009 satins were provided from the mint? Someone has offered to sell me a 2009 proof set, but it appears that the LMC is proof, not satin... So how were they originally sold? Also I don't see any values for satin LMC on numismedia...?

Not trying to jack the thread but... I have a Satin Finish Lincoln (2005-D) for my Zinc Lincoln in my 7070. I like the finish so much it had to be represented!

I think I also have the 2009 penny bug too. After finding out how many different varieties were available I became really interested! I kinda wish I knew how much the 2 roll sets were originally priced at the mint because it looks like people are paying some serious money for them on ebay! Anyhow I have all 8 business strikes and a proof set so he satins are next on my list!
