the 2 roll P & D boxed sets were originally priced at the mint for $8.95 plus $4.95 for S&H of entire order, the US Mint only made 66,000 of the first LP1 2 roll P & D boxed sets, so these LP1 sets go for a much higher price then the 2009 LP2 - LP4. US Mint sold LP5 2 roll P & D boxed sets which was the new 2010 design.

Yes, the 2009 US MINT - LINCOLN COIN & CHRONICLES PROOF SET is one of the US Mint best works.
the only thing on the down side, is the Mint used the original 1909 bronze = 95% Copper on the 2009 satin & proof Lincoln cents which tend to tone/darken a bit.

Although mine look the same as when I got the set two and a half years ago, I would have no problem if they toned or darkened. Knowing that they are 95% copper is enough for me.

Thank for the info on the mint rolls! I figured they hada low mintage or something. they seem to be bringing 4-5 times original value on ebay. That seems like it may be a price point that wouldn't increase that much anytime soon so i'll robably stay away from that. I do have my eye on the chronicles set though...

Very impressive set! I should work more on my modern small cent collection. I stopped at 2009 last time I focused on them. One place you might find them would be an auction house like TeleTrade who specialises in slabbed coins unless you prefer them raw. They take very good photos of the coons they auction and give a decent blurb about each coin.

Is the satin finish the same as the Specimen finish of the Canadian proofs?

I have a 2009 US MINT - LINCOLN COIN & CHRONICLES PROOF SET up for sale here on CCF & ebay.
Only have 1 set to sell, so if it is sold at one site it will be removed from other site.

if you read this in CCF, I will add this one NGC 2009 LP1 BU First Day Issue slab to your purchase of the 2009 LINCOLN COIN & CHRONICLES SET up for sale here on CCF or ebay. Just tell me if you buy set to add NGC 2009 LP1 BU First Day Issue slab because you saw this here on CCF !
fyi...this BU LP1 is NOT a Satin, it is from the bank rolls of copper plated Zinc cents. LP1-BIRTH & EARLY CHILDHOOD IN KENTUCKY

Is the satin finish the same as the Specimen finish of the Canadian proofs?
Someone Please explain how to do the '''Quote:''' thing in blue box?

US satin finish is basically like sand-blasted all over;
Canadian Specimen finish has background sand-blasted with QEII & Maple Leaf real shiny...
basically like a Reverse-Proof.
The Canadian Specimen are my most liked finish.

Canada is going to STOP their penny in 2012, WONDER if they will stop 1c in Canadian Specimen too?

I would like to ask a few questions so please bear with me.
First off, what is a key, semi key? I totally have no idea what that is. Also, I got the 2009 mint proof set which includes the 2009 Lincoln Cents, so the question is do they have a satin finish? and if I try to sell them how much would they sell for? and how much would 1999-2009 proof sets altogether sell for? Thanks a lot

proof set contains 2009 Lincoln SHINY proof Cents, satin finish was only made for the US Mint UNC P & D sets

Correct, the satin finish only applies to mint sets from 2005 to 2010. Proof sets always have proof coins.

Is there any good photography out there that highlights the differences between the satin, proof, and business strike finishes?

I still have a lot of scans up but did stop and get LP1 done. Not sure this qualifies as "good photography" but the differences are clear.
