Hi! My grandfather gave me these before he passed away to use when I went to college to help with my education. Well it's gotten time to. I want to take them in to a rare coin shop but I want to at least have a good idea of what they are worth so I don't get riped off. So any help is appreciated. The one in a necklace piece it unscrews and comes out without any damage to the coin at all.
I also can't figure out why it won't let me upload pics but here is a link to my photocucket with the coins pictures.
THANK YOU for any help with these! ebay hasn't really helped, the 1889 silver dollar is $74-$5,000!?!?
Thank you again!!

The US coins are the following:
1976 Eisenhower $1 (bicentennial)
1976 Kennedy half dollar (bicentennial)
1967 Kennedy half dollar (40% silver)
1962 Franklin half dollar (90% silver)
1921 and 1889 Morgan dollars (90% silver)

Unfortunately the first two are just worth the face value of the coins.
The next two I listed are probably worth around the silver content, though it's possible a bit more if they are uncirculated (it's tough to determine that from those photos). The silver content in the 1967 Kennedy is worth a bit over $5, and the Franklin half is almost $13. The Morgan dollars are circulated and common dates and are worth just a couple dollars over the silver value (the value of the silver is $27.50).

Also, you might be better off selling the silver coins yourself on ebay. The Morgans may go a few more $ higher on there, though the commission will then eat into that a little. However a coin store will probably offer around $25 each on those two coins where silver is at the moment.

Now what makes my two Morgans so different than the really expensive ones on ebay? I looked and there aren't any mint marks or anything to distinguish.
Thank you so much for all your help!

The most expensive ones on there do have mint marks - particularly the 1889-CCs. If there are any especially valuable ones without mint marks, it'd be because they are an extremely high, uncriculated grade. The value in those cases is coming from the near-perfect condition. The 1889 itself is not a rare coin, especially in a circulated grade.

Nikki, to upload pictures, you don't use quick reply. you need to use the Reply to topic, which is above the quick reply box. That then opens a new window with the smilies , and editing tools.

From there, you click the Upload Image green camera at the bottom of the text box. From there, it navigates you around to you navigating and uploading your pictures. The pic.'s can't be very large, though.

Bit of a hassle, can only be 90kb or less and a few other quirks, but that starts the process,

As silver bullion has recently increased, reputable dealers have recently been paying over $30 each for nicer grade Morgan dollars. One dealer in my neck of the woods has been paying $35 for decent AU's - Almost Uncirculated coins.
