Anyone able to help me verify this 1916 Standing Liberty quarter? Real or fake? Will try to get better pictures tomorrow.

The only diagnostic that is clear to me is the robe below her right arm. That is the 1917 type, so it is not a genuine 1916 from what I can see.

Johnny is a pro at this! I'd def listen. Also, a 1916 in that condition would be worth a fortune and I cannot imagine it wouldn't be slabbed.

Something doesn't smell right on that coin. Bad vibes for sure.

The toning on the reverse also looks pretty similar to the fakes for sale on ebay.

Seems like the Obverse is way higher grade than the reverse. For teh obverse to have that much detail, the eagle on the reverese should have lots more feather details, I would think. The 6 on the obverse looks "funky" for lack of a better numismatic term!

Rest in Peace

It's outright fake, in my opinion. I saw the details as subtly 'off' even in the first set of pictures...

i agree with the gown comment made by johnny.....the gown is suppose to be running along the top of that board under libertys right arm on the 16's.....the 17's start the gown dropping slightly down the face of left board as seen in your picture......not to mention the fact that the original luster is not present at all

Ok I can't be the only one to notice this... The breast doesn't look right either. It looks as though someone decided to add a nipple over a worn breast (and too low down compared to how the coin's chest should be shaped).

The reverse also has some marks that look as though small bubbles were formed during both the molding (small bumps) and casting (the small indentations). Obviously this implies fake.
