Depends on what condition they are in. If they are all crumpled and or folded multiple times then they aren't worth but $2. You can still get uncirculated crisp ones on ebay for less than $10.

I agree mostly . The exception would be for date etc . but as a whole Irish(Woad)Raider is right on the money. Any 1928 you can get Maybe exspecially 1928(B) may be 1928(A)

I pay $2.00 for only crisp, clean dollar bills. As everyone has stated condition is very important. They are fun to collect.

I have piles and piles of 2.00 bills because my bank saves each and every one they get to come in for me so I usually get about 300.00 worth each month. It is getting to the point that I am going to have to tyell them to just stop for awhile because I am running out of places to put them all, even though they are pretty fun to pass to the unsuspecting teenager at the local grocery store or the foreigners at the local corner convenience store

Thats so cool Bryan! I have always wondered how long you have collected, because I have seen that your collection is quite vast!

I just passed my one year anniversary this month since I started collecting. When I started I started buying pretty strong and really havent slowed down very much except for maybe a week or two since. My main focul point when I started was each and every Morgan I could get my hands on, then I bought this strange Morgan that had a number on the slab and even though I didn't quite understand what it meant it started me on my journey of 1878 VAM collecting, the coin I bought was a 1878 7TF VAM-83 which now seems to be bismal but it is the coin that really lit a fire under my rear end for VAM's, I soon journeyed out to any VAM but always came back to what I knew best, 1878 VAM's. Ihen I started getting a little burned out but was still buying pretty strong just the coins didn't excite me waiting on them to arrive in the mail until I got my Dansco 7070 and now the excitement seems to be back to where I cant wait for the mailman to arrive with my packages. I have been buying the highest grade of coins I can afford the past month and have a couple pages already filled up and on another one I am missing like one or two on another page. Now instead of spending a thousand dollars on one MS-65 1878 Morgan I usually buy two or more for the type set and am having a good time collecting again

You are so lucky to have someone save them for you. Do you live in a small town for more personal service? Do you reward the employees for their extra work?

yes I live in a very small town with about 25-35,000 people here. As far as how old the bills are most are from the 70's but there are some older and a few from 2003, but most are from 1976 and down. I have about 15 1928 gold certificate in consecutive numbers and have 3 1950 consecutive numbers and a few others from 1950 thats not consecutive, I have a few red seals also one is a 1928c red seal and the rest are from 1963. But most of them are from 1976 as I said before

If the bills are uncirculated I would say thats a great price. One thing is for certain the older dates aren't being printed now so if you get a chance to pick up a few, at that price, I would do it!

I haven't even thought of a $2 bill in quite some time. I had a few stuck around in places but no real effort was being made to collect them. After reading these posts on $2 bills I decided to try and obtain a few for tips and surprise the youngsters around here. So I went to the bank and ask if I could get some $2 bills. The answer was: "yes, how many do you want?" I said how many can I get from you and she said, "if it's not over 3,000 dollars worth, I can fill your order" Ended up buying $40 dollars worth and tomorrow I start spending them. this should be some fum.

These were all brand new notes and came off of the stack in order of their printing. Ended up with a couple of good poker hands with these numbers. Kind of hate to fold them!
