Just sharing....I found these in some bank rolls...I was suprised to see a 2010 toned penny..I guess I have a question too...What would cause a 2010 to be toned already....I guess I should ask..what causes toning?

They sell stuff to tone/ruin coins. Some look pretty/other pretty fake. But the orginal toning comes from enviroment/album toning. Whitmans can turn coins blue and Danscos just ruin BU coins.

Fun idea. Take a small propane torch and experiment
with a roll of these. Try different distances, heat intensity
and angles etc. See what happens.

I like the woody! Nice find!

The 2010 was exposed to chemicals and damaged, it is not toned.

The colors are only that bright when it is at a certain angle...it looks the same as other "toned" coins I have gotten out of bank rolls that are older.

Its one heck of a penny, Bad Thad has the right idea, Verdi Gone!! I love the stuff, I picked up a bottle a couple of months ago and don't you know the day it arrives, I'm on https://www.PCGS.com and I check out their video of the coin sniffer they have. I couldn't believe when I see Verdi Care written on one of the sample tubes of things that if detected will warrant them to reject your coin for grading. I;m not sure if it was the earlier product Verdi Gone or Verti Care. I know I ordered Verti Care and recived a bottle of Verti Gone. Or visa Versa, IDK.... It was funny though. This is the luck that I'm use to having.
