Double Mint Pillar of the Community United States 810 Posts	Posted 05/18/2011 08:10 am This appears to be a Doubled die. I marked areas that show doubling. Can anyone tell me what variety this is I cant find a match in coppercoins.com. Report this Post to the Staff

Double Mint Pillar of the Community United States 810 Posts	Posted 05/18/2011 7:09 pm Naw no contact marks on the areas pointed out. The 4 matches one of coppercoins 1984 DDOs but only the 4 and 8 are doubled. The nine took some hits but doesn't appear to be doubled. Report this Post to the Staff

Double Mint Pillar of the Community United States 810 Posts	Posted 05/18/2011 8:36 pm I just looked at 200 1984s and saw that there are 2 different types of 4s for that yr. One is pointed and the other is flat. I'm leaning more torwards a coin that took some hits that I cant see and a normal 4 for that yr. I'm not posting anymore coins on here uless it matches coppercoins site or another site for the matter. I have to admit its driving me nuts trying to understand the different types of doublings.
