I'm obsessed with this coin, please help me!
Of the known specimens, there is an AG3 and a G4 on the low end. Now, coinfacts has info on all known specimens however, some of this info is not updated.
Supposedly in 1990, the AG3 sold for $35,000!
Numismedia has this coin at $75,000 in G4 and as we all know, would be irrelevant should this coin ever hit the auction block again.
I wonder what it would hammer for? Guess we will just have to wait and see

I happen to know a man whose father owned the AG-3. I talked to him about it once and his feeling is that it would for for around $70-90k today.

That's cool. I think it would actually hit six figures myself.
I don't want it though, too low of a grade...lol!

The 1894-S Barber dime is a dime produced in the United States Barber coinage. It has been compared to the 1804 Silver Dollar and the 1913 Liberty nickel. It is one of the most highly prized United States coins for collectors. One was sold in 2005 for 1.3 million dollars.[1] Another was sold in 2007 for 1.9 million dollars.[2] Only 24 were minted and of those only nine are known to survive.

Yeah so what's all the fuss about. I too found a roll of those at a flea market. I thought they were everywhere.
