It looks AU-MS, but looks like the back might have been wiped/cleaned. Still a great type set coin, where did you get it?

One neat thing about this coin is the very wide repunching of the date. It looks like 18511 but only the base of the last 1 is visible.

I have noticed you have some nice coins but your pictures are very small of them. Have you tried using a site like photobucket to host the pictures so they can be bigger where we can see the coins better?

THAT is a pretty Half Cent! Man , if you're only going to have one, THAT's the one to have!

Also totally cool!

I looked at my 1851 Half Cent (not as nice as yours, Muddler) and noticed, what I thought was PMD, marks in the same spot! What do you think? Is this a 18511 too? (I don't want to hijack your thread...)

I don't know what's up with the rotated photo but upon closer examination it looks to be a small die crack in the coin. Yours must have come from the same die how cool is that!

There is only one die pair in 1851, they all have that repunched 1 to the right of the date.

That is one type that I desperately need and that is a Half Cent for my type collection. I don't own a one. They are somewhat pricey as I am sure you would agree. I just need to quit loafing off and get on the ball. I can only wish that I would get a Half Cent as nice as yours. It is very nice and looks sound with no problems.
