The spell checker is a great idea -- in fact, probably more people should use it.

But isn't it interesting that it throws an error on "uncirculated," considering the number of times that is probably used in posts here. As far as I can tell, it is a legitimate English word.

Just for grins, I tried "planchet" -- it doesn't like that one either.

Can words be added to its dictionary?

Should use it, but I don't. I guess that's obvious sometimes.

Nope. I use Google's API to do the spell checking. I have no control over their dictionary.
