But like Ed, on a simple piece of 1 oz. silver that is always just gonna be worth a few bucks beyond spot, why not make it look nice, it will still sell one day if need be.... I see folk biding on the ugliest piece of pure silver you could ever imagine on ebay all the time, stuff I would not touch with a ten foot poll, yet if it has 1 oz. of pure silver in it, somebody is gonna fork out 35 to 40 bucks for it.... C_lake New Member United States 22 Posts	Posted 05/29/2011 5:12 pm That's exactly why you need to examine all older date morgans and silver coins that look in to be in better condition. a percentage of people out there will always been looking at Bullion coins as just that, a piece of metal with very little regard to the date. Some are investors, some are collectors. I'm an avid collector with a huge interest in the history behind the coin. I love the fact that a coin has possibly over 100 years of wear from the people of those times. A shame a bit of Tarn-X destroys that. Report this Post to the Staff
