Please let me know what you think the grade and value might be on this 1909 O half dollar. I am thinking a possible F-12. Edited by kenscott 05/26/2011 02:36 am

These are tough I'm thinking F15, but the Liberty looks VF20.

I would grade it at F-12, it appears to have been cleaned.

It does appear to be cleaned. There is rim damage on the reverse. The clean part makes this coin a VG at best, maybe a VG+.

F-15 overall; the LIBERTY will bump it up, but the rest of the detail looks very weak. Maybe its something to do with the pics as well.

Thank you for all the replies on this.
I picked this up recently for around $9 cash in a larger deal. I agree it seems to have been cleaned.
As for the picture quality, these are scans of the coin so the condition is pretty much clear on it.

Did not realize how much price difference there is on this coin due to exact grading. I think I will send it off to PCGS for grading.
I have never had any coin professionally graded. I hope it isn't too difficult or expensive.
