I guess you can say I cheated. I work at a bank and came across these in a box I ordered today. I rarely come across silver quarters, usually just find dimes. So to find 2 out of $500, I'm pretty happy. The 43 is in really good condition.
I found about 10 wheat pennies today as well, from a box of $25. I threw them in my wheat box, didn't record the dates...

Lol. Thanks. Was worried how people would take it...I have worked as a teller for 7 years. I have never been in to the numistatic standpoint, always just looked for silver, copper and foreign. This site is teaching me a lot. I can't wait to find out what other coins to keep any eye out for.

I am starting to wonder if I should just stick with CWR's instead of buying boxes

Sorry rkrj, what is CWR? The boxes we order come in plastic wrap so I was lucky enough to spot these through the wrapper without having to search too hard. I usually find about 10 silver dimes per $250 box, but never have too much luck with the quarters.

CWR = consumer wrapped rolls or customer wrapped rolls, basically not from the mint

10 dimes per box ?!?!? Wow, I think you have most peoples averages beat by like 5-1.
Nice score on the quarters, I did 3 boxes with no luck so I called it quits on those.

I havent fouund a silver quarter in a year or so. I run the register at work quite often, s I see a lot of coins. Only silver I have seen in the last year was a Peace dollar a guy used to pay.
