Real life ... sometimes stranger than fiction. No wonder the guy was having a heart attack. Coins, drug money and his stash sent flying down a highway median followed by the state troopers and local TV media types all there to clean up the mess after he's rushed to the hospital.

Would never wish injury on anyone but sure sounds like there's more to that story than just a trip to the coin show.

If I was in his shoes I think I'd borrow one of the officers guns and just shoot myself for expedience sake. Regardless of how this thing turns out ... it doesn't sound like there's going to be a happy ending for the poor soul.

Seeing as the SUV rolled up to 5 times, maybe the driver had been 'using' some of the 'wacky backie' so to speak.

How fast would you have to be driving to make an SUV roll 5 times

Think there is any chance that one of the good guys was also a coin collector? Let's say he found a bunch of great coins and wanted to add them to his collection or sell them for big bucks. So he pulls the suitcase of pot from the bust he did that morning out of his car, throws it to the side of the road, then when it is discovered it diverts so much attention that he fills his pockets while no one is watching.
Far fetched maybe, but don't you love conspiracy theroies?

Some things just don't add up. They call him a collector, and they call him a coin dealer. Which is he? Was it his collection, or his stock? And they say it was a million dollar collection, but give no evidence to back up that claim. They mention no details about the coins and all you ever see is about a half dollar face in junk silver. They report finding $46K in bills. Is that face or value? Now we hear about a quantity of pot as well. Was this really a collector/dealer, of a pot dealer and the $46K was his proceeds?

Maybe he was driving around refilling his pot vending machines and the coins and bills were what came out of them.

A whole four ounces of pot?
Is that all it takes to cause a stir in Florida?
I guarantee that if the dog sniffed every vehicle that stopped for a look, they could have come up with more than 4oz.

It doesn't take much to roll suvs or trucks, they are top heavy because they sit off the ground more than cars already. I have heard of cars going the speed limit on interstates (70 mphs) that flipped from hitting a small patch of black ice, hydroplaning, even changing the radio station then looking up and realizing you are drifting into the wrong lane and jerking the wheel back really fast.

That bag would have to have some thing connecting to the dealer/collector. A name tag would be a winner. Other wise its a good lawyers playground. I mean it is Florida. Runners leave bags all the time for connects to scoop up and travel to a city near you/me. On another note, if you were traveling down the HW and saw slabs of coins would you stop to pick them up. I know I would. Do you think after the accident, knowing the cops were coming he just ditched the bag. lol You know your having a bad day when you crash your suv, you loose your coins, your wife breaks her arm. And now you cant even relax cause you lost your stash as well. Sounds like something I wouldnt mind hearing happening to some of those TV Sales People.

This state always brings the crazy. This coin spill happened about 15 miles north of the Great Nickel Spill of 2008
