The first coin could be Thailand, the second resembles an 8R from Potosi mint? Just a guess from the pics--I think we'll need more detail to be of help.

It's sorta hard to determine from the pics, because there's not enough detail to see date and amount of wear. The second coin has been copied in recent times, and you would need an expert to examine and determine authenticity. Here's a genuine coin that yours loosely resembles, but I'm no expert on these

what year and make it is. I am sure it's genuine since it belonged to my grandfather

"96" is the year: 1696.
But from those pics it does not look genuine to me. These "cob" coins are notorious for being very crudely and hastily struck, quite thick and irregular in shape and with large pieces of the design missing - the one DVCollector posted is typical. Yours looks "too good to be true", and typical of tourist replicas of "pirate coins".
A quick check for authenticity is the weight. An 8 reales should weigh about 27 grams.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

As previously mentioned, the first one is definitely from Thailand. Going by the size of the portrait and the fact that the writing extends over the top I'd hazard a guess it's from the 60's or 70s, possibly a 1 baht. A picture of the back would help to pin it down better. Value wise? Don't expect to retire on it.
