About Niobium: From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niobium"Niobium is estimated to be 33rd on the list of the most common elements in the Earth's crust with 20 ppm.[29] The abundance on Earth should be much greater, but the "missing" niobium may be located in the Earth's core due to the metal's high density "The two largest deposits of pyrochlore were found in the 1950s in Brazil and Canada, and both countries are still the major producers of niobium mineral concentrates.[9](...) [two] Brazilian mines produce around 75% of world supply. The third largest producer of niobium is the carbonatite-hosted Niobec Mine, Saint-Honoré near Chicoutimi, Quebec owned by Iamgold Corporation Ltd, which produces around 7% of world supply.[32] Nice topic here: https://goccf.com/t/71885

And you have to wonder how much of Canada's vastness has actually been mineralogically surveyed.

I cannot stress how nice and unique these coins seem to me. I would love to subscribe to this series but two things are putting me off:
1. *Subscription price subject to change* Sounds odd to me. I don't want to pay 121$ for the first and then 250$ for the second and so on...
2. Is there a chance at all that I can get my hands on ordering this before you masters folk gobble it up? Is the subscription even going to be made available to me?
So many questions. Maybe I should call the mint?

In the past I've posted pre-sale coins on this forum that were only available to the Club and people ordered them directly - and it worked.
It won't hurt to try. Good luck.

When you say first Niobium coin, do you mean Canada's first? your first? Wasn't clear on that. I got this in about 2006: Mongolia 500 Tugrik 2005 - Snow Leopard (panthera unica) oval-shaped.

Yes it is a Canadian first. I did some Googling and Austria's coins were the first ever Niobium coins from what I gather.
Thanks for the tip Canadian_Coins. I take it this is product 1110004?

As an early Father's day gift my wife let me order the set. :)
What I don't get though is the first coin of the set starts shipping June 16th but if you ordered the set you have to wait until August to get the first two coins. The 2nd coin is released in October. I'm confused.

Yeah, the scheduling is obscure. Maybe it's the leadtime on the new case design? I like the new design BTW. A bit like the cigarette version circa 2005-2006, but stylish.

Display is frequently something you have to handle yourself. That is a nice presentation.
And, I've just discovered I am a Masters Club member. Nice of them not to tell me that, huh? Or, maybe the web-folk have messed things up and let everyone in. :)
I simply tried to login with my normal account, and it worked.

You don't have to be a Masters Club member, just have to know the item number and make a phone call to order. My folks have been doing just that for their last couple of orders.
I love how Niobium oxidizes (oxidizes right?) to these brilliant colours naturally. Was never a fan of colourized coins so I keep telling myself these don't count as colourized. Love the spared silvery moon.
