I understand that some people will just end up melting their coins to get more money or will sell their coins for the spot price instead of it's value as stated in the grey sheet. But does the price of silver effect the prices of coins at all in the grey sheet? I've heard some guys at a coin show saying "I didn't bring my silver today because the prices are so low." I'm looking to buy more silver coins, so I'm not sure how prices will be influenced by the price of silver. If the price of silver drops, will the price of some coins drop as well?

I'm seeing older silver coins not budging at all in price, like seated, bust and some Barber material- just the spread from silver melt to the premiums on older silver have narrowed quite a bit. Also, I'm seeing the premiums on modern BU silver material have narrowed considerably to just slightly above melt. On the flip side, circulated modern silver 90% has risen in concert with the bullion price. When silver is high right now, my recommendation is to buy BU 90% modern silver if you can get it for just over spot, because it's value will hold better if silver drops.
